What does embedding a font mean? Embedding fonts ensures that all font information in your document is secured in your PDF. This means that when it is opened on a different device, it looks the way you intended.
Navigate to File Properties. Click the Fonts tab. If a font has the phrase (Embedded Subset) after the font name, then embedding is allowed.
Some Office apps let you embed fonts in your documents. That way, if you share your document with someone else who doesnt have the same fonts installed that you do, the fonts, layout, and styling of the document wont change, and special characters wont turn into meaningless rectangles.
Heres how to check to see if your fonts are embedded: Open your PDF in docHub Reader (available for free at ). Go to File--Properties--Fonts. The program will list all the fonts that youve used in your document.
Embed means to integrate external content into another website or page. You embed something when you place a block of code called an embed code into the HTML editor of another website. When you hit Save or Publish, the media then renders on the published page. Embedded content is referenced with HTML.
