alright guys welcome to your last story on the CSS box model and the last element that we have to cover is the margin now the margin is the area outside the border and outside the padding its the area basically that surrounds the entire element so lets go ahead and lets go ahead and actually make some paragraphs theyll probably the easiest to see so paragraphs actually have margin by default one of the few elements so this is a paragraph make sure you spell that Wow I was pretty close actually so anyways lets go ahead and paste that and actually we probably should add a background color so P background color and just make it orange or something nothing too light nothing too dark just right and Im talking about Warren J and check it out this is Africa afta and this is AB crafte so as you can see by default it has probably mono how how tall is my mouse cursor probably like 10 or 15 pixels or something so by default paragraphs have a margin between them but whatever saying all right

You can add margins to content boxes by inserting an in-line CSS style. Launch the Notepad plain-text editor. Type style=margin:10px; inside of any or other tag you want to create margins around. Type the following inside of any tags you want to create margins around:
The CSS width property specifies the width of the elements content area. The content area is the portion inside the padding, border, and margin of an element (the box model). So, if an element has a specified width, the padding added to that element will be added to the total width of the element.
The margin property sets the margins around an element. The margins of the image can be set by applying this property to the IMG element.
The reason vertical padding /margin does not work with spans is that its an inline element. As such, no vertical will work :).
The margin property sets or returns the margins of an element. This property can take from one to four values: One value, like: div {margin: 50px} - all four margins will be 50px. Two values, like: div {margin: 50px 10px} - the top and bottom margins will be 50px, left and right margins will be 10px.
margin:10px 5px 15px 20px; top margin is 10px. right margin is 5px. bottom margin is 15px. left margin is 20px.
Both the margin property and the padding property insert space around an element.Definition and Usage One value, like: div {margin: 50px} - all four margins will be 50px. Two values, like: div {margin: 50px 10px} - the top and bottom margins will be 50px, left and right margins will be 10px.
Another way of applying some margin on a element is to use a ::before or ::after pseudo element. This way we basically add a new (empty) row which we can use to add some space at the beginning of our elements.
margin: 10px 5px 15px 20px; top margin is 10px. right margin is 5px. bottom margin is 15px. left margin is 20px.
