[Music] and welcome to x-ray review this will be a quick video about how to save and export dicom images for an image to be considered diagnostic it needs to be in dicom format rather than jpeg in dicom format the image can be manipulated you can zoom in zoom out window level contrast and change a number of the features of the image in order to best visualize what youre trying to see and this cannot be performed with a jpeg and again thats why images need to be saved in this dicom format in order to save your images in dicom format the first thing i recommend is go into your windows desktop right click and create a new folder the second step is to then open up the packs viewing software that contains the images that you want to save next hit the export button and if you dont see that hit the save button and when youre asked to choose a format choose the dicom not jpeg and for a destination pick the folder that you created thats on your desktop now all of the images that you saved
