There are four permissions of font embeddability installable, editable, print/preview and restricted. Installable - Allows fonts to be embedded in the document and installed permanently in the computer. Editable - Allows fonts to be embedded in the document but only installs fonts temporarily in the system.
Font embedding is the inclusion of font files inside an electronic document. Font embedding is controversial because it allows licensed fonts to be freely distributed.
1) In Word, under docHub PDF, choose Change Conversion Settings. 2) Click on the Advanced Settings button. 3) Choose the Fonts folder at the upper left. 4) Next, do two things: First, check the checkbox labeled Embed all fonts.
To check that your fonts are embedded in docHub, go to File on the top menu and select Properties then select the Fonts tab, this will list the font used in the document. You want to check that they are either (Embedded) or (Embedded Subset).
How Do I Embed Fonts using docHub? Open your PDF in docHub Pro. Go to File Save As Other Optimized PDF. In the dialog box, click on Fonts and ensure all your fonts are listed. Check Embed all fonts and then save your PDF.
You can embed or substitute fonts in Acrobat or when you export an InDesign document to PDF. You can embed the entire font, or just a subset of the characters used in the file. Subsetting ensures that your fonts and font metrics are used at print time by creating a custom font name.
