hi in this video im going to show you how to insert a deer first name into a mailchimp letter so lets start editing the text and once youve clicked on the text you want to edit simply make yourself a bit extra space and ill put in the first word there and then i click on the merge tags button and here you can choose any of the tags you want to display from the information you have stored about your subscribers in mailchimp so in this case im going to put dear first name and ill put a comma after it and so this will then be replaced with dear and the first name of the people and so i can use merge tags to do the same for email addresses addresses phone numbers and everything that i have stored in my system you can also preview and see what it looks like for the clients dear test first name in this case
