so thereamp;#39;s some people out there that are not sure whether to convert your camera raw files into dngs so that you can work on them in post-processing so in other words should you be working with your cameras and Native raw file format or should you be using dng so letamp;#39;s go through that in this video and give you the answers so firstly letamp;#39;s talk about the cameraamp;#39;s raw file format so every camera brand has its own raw file format so for instance Canon will have CR2 and cr3 now I believe and Nikonamp;#39;s raw files are called nefs Fujiamp;#39;s I think are called rafs and uh funnily enough a DJI drone their raw files when you take pictures with them are actually dngs already and I think thatamp;#39;s the first thing to get out the way a dng is a raw file itamp;#39;s a raw file just as much as a CR2 is and any f is ETC and what dng stands for is digital negative so a dng is a raw file but itamp;#39;s a generic raw file itamp;#39;s an open source raw

By default all recognized fields in the TIFF image file directory (IFD) are loaded into the native image metadata object. Which fields are loaded may be controlled by setting which TIFF tags the reader is allowed to recognize, whether to read fields with unrecognized tags, and whether to ignore all metadata.
In the Windows operating system, this can be done as follows, open the Explorer application, find your TIFF document, right-click on the file, select the Properties option, you will see the document properties window TIFF and its metadata.
Another difference is that TIFF files support layers, whereas JPEG files do not. This means that you can edit a TIFF file and change the order of the layers, whereas with a JPEG file you can only edit the image as a whole. Finally, TIFF files use the RGB color model, whereas JPEG files use the CMYK colour model.
A TIFF, which stands for Tag Image File Format, is a computer file used to store raster graphics and image information.
How to add text on TIFF Upload your image by using Drop or upload your file. Add your text and customize its appearance. To delete text, click the Remove Text button. Choose a format and save the image. Text will be added on your image and you will be able to download or view it.
On Windows computer, right-click the TIFF file and choose Properties. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information at the bottom. A dialog will appear asking if you want to delete all properties or just a portion of them.
Advanced metadata storage (GeoTIFF) A GeoTiff stores metadata inside a TIFF image file, providing the user valuable information about an images GPS location and coordinates. The TIFF stores metadata valuable for geographical images.
No, they are essentially the same file type; the only difference is that one acronym (TIF) is short for the other acronym (TIFF). So regardless of which acronym you use, both refer to the same image format. The two acronyms are used interchangeably, so theres no need to worry about which one youre using.
