Once youve learned an Engraving, you can equip it by dragging it from your Learned Engravings tab to the slots on the bottom left of your character menu. You can find Engraving books in most endgame content, including Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids, and Island quests, or buy them on the player Market.
As for the logo image, there are really no strict requirements for its format since its possible to engrave using both raster (JPG, PNG, BMP) and vector (SVG, EPS, AI) files.
For laser engraving acceptable file formats include the following: TIFF, BMP, JPG or other Raster images that are 1-Bit black and white camera ready artwork. No Gray scale. Should be in a minimum of 300 DPI resolution.
To make engrave the name on the box, you have to go to the features command manager and select Extrude cut tool. Adjust the extrude cut length of the text by using the depth on the extrude cut property manager. Then click Ok. Create the text on the model surface and apply extrude cut feature to make it engraved.
To engrave a single line text, do the following steps: Write a text by using any of the SHX font styles in the Design environment. Switch to the Manufacture workspace and create a new setup. Go to Milling 2D Trace. In Trace dialog, select the chamfer mill tool. Select the text in Geometry tab.
BMP - a bitmap file is used for engraving only (such as scanned pictures, photographs etc. DXF - this popular vector file can be used for cutting and engraving. AI - this vector file format can be used for cutting and engraving.
As for the logo image, there are really no strict requirements for its format since its possible to engrave using both raster (JPG, PNG, BMP) and vector (SVG, EPS, AI) files. Logos are usually in a vectorized format, and engraving this kind of file is very straightforward.
For vector and raster engraving, you need a laser engraver that can support both types of graphics. It means that it should be compatible with raster image formats, such as JPG, PNG, JPEG, BMP, and TIFF, and vector graphics, such as SVG and DXF.
