Open a Google Sheet with a small set of data. Click into the cell after your data (or wherever you want your dot plot to appear.) Copy this formula =REPT(*,A1) into your clipboard, and Paste the formula into the selected cell. [Press shortcut - Ctrl + V (windows) or Command + V (mac)].

Heres a step-by-step guide: Place your cursor in the cell where you want to add a bullet point. Press and hold the Alt key. While holding Alt, press the 7 key on your numeric keypad (ensure that Num Lock is on). Release both keys, and the bullet point will appear in the cell.
In Windows, select Num Lock Alt 0149. In macOS, select Option + 8. In Android and iOS, use the bullet point symbol on the second screen of the number keypad.
