You can use footnotes to add references in your Google Doc. In documents that are in pages format, you can add page numbers, and you can also include headers and footers to add content to every page in the document.
For example, if you use Google Docs, go to Insert Special characters and insert the bullet point you want to use. 2. Select and copy the bullet point.
From Google Docs, go to Insert Special characters. Or, visit Google Input Tools and select Special Characters from the right side. You have three options here: search for the letter, refine the menu options, or draw the accented letter.
In the table menu at the top of the page, click on the Border dash icon and select the middle option (dots).

That option is built into the Docs table of contents. When you select Insert Table of contents, select the middle option and you will automatically have dot leaders after the section name and before the page number.
