embedding and linking your files is a great way to improve your workflow across Affinity software today well look at how these tools work and well see how you can manage your resources more easily so lets jump [Music] in whats up guys its Trent and today were going to talk about embedding and linking files across Affinity programs this feature Works an affinity publisher designer and photo but Ill mostly be looking at from the designer and photo perspectives today so what do we mean by embedding and linking files well these are two different ways of putting a file or resource into your project youve almost certainly done one of them already if youve ever put an image into your document so lets look at an example I have here I designed this simple little menu and theres not much on it yet but I also have another file that has a logo on it so these files are both Affinity designer files and what I can do is I can place my logo into my menu here so Ill go to file place Ill se

Embeddable design is something weve wanted to build at Canva for a long time. The premise is simple create a Canva design and get an embed code to copy it directly onto your site but what it means for content creators and blog/website owners is really exciting.
Link or Embed a file Go to Insert Object. Select Create from File. Select Browse and choose the file you want to use. Select Insert.
Go to File Share, and then click Embed. Click Generate. Click the Expand arrow next to Interaction to make some choices about what people can do with the embedded view of the document. For example, if you dont want them to be able to print your document, clear the Let people print the document check box.
Into a Word Document Open the word document file you wish to embed an image into. Place your cursor in the spot you wish to put the image. Click insert then click pictures Locate and select the image you wish to put into your document.
With the document open for editing in Word for the web, use the following steps to copy the embed code: Go to File Share, and then click Embed. Click Generate. Click the Expand arrow next to Interaction to make some choices about what people can do with the embedded view of the document.
