These documents must be signed manually. In order for the buyer to purchase your vehicle in Alberta, both parties must fill out a bill of sale. The recommended best practice is to write two original signed copies, one for the buyer and one for the seller. For the bill of sale to be valid, dont white-out any information out.
Why You Need a Bill of Sale in Ontario Registration. Transfer of Ownership. Sales Tax. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Make, Model, Year, Colour, Body Type, Mileage, and Engine. Purchase Date. Purchase or Sale Price. Names, Addresses, and Signatures of Buyer and Seller.
Trailer plates are continuous, which means that you only pay to register that trailer and plate once. You do not renew them like a motor vehicle. In order to register a trailer, you will be asked to provide a bill of sale. Alberta Registries do not need to see insurance to register the trailer.
You do not require an Alberta Out of Province inspection for a trailer or off-highway vehicle. Along with the information above, your vehicle must also be present at time of registration in order to have the serial number physically verified.
Vehicles on a public roadway in Alberta must have valid insurance and a Vehicle Registration Certificate. The vehicle youre registering must be in Alberta. A vehicle can be either a motor vehicle, such as a car or truck, or a non-motor vehicle such as a trailer.
Bills of sale include information, such as: the identity of the buyer and the seller. a statement that the owner has legal title to the property. a description of the property, including an as is statement. the purchase price. whether any liens on the property exist. the signature of the seller. the date of the sale.
