writing tips dialog formatting use of commas embedding a setting etc writing dialogue content so dialog is not necessarily required to follow formal sentence structure or grammar itamp;#39;s really supposed to be realistic and not everyone uses perfect dial perfect grammar and perfect sentence structure all the time so when youamp;#39;re writing dialogue you donamp;#39;t necessarily have to worry about that depending on the character each character should have unique dialogue that shows their personality and their motivations ideally you will be able to tell a character apart just by their dialogue dialogue should also sound natural and realistic at all times so hereamp;#39;s an example i pulled all these examples from the story iamp;#39;m currently working on just you know kind of some average examples so here we go quote what a terrible plight we would be glad to provide assistance jorah assured him so this quote he speaks formally and kindly and he offers to provide assistance

Embedded clauses rely on the main clause and dont make sense in isolation. We often, but not always, separate embedded clauses from the main sentence using commas on either side. For example: Luke, as soon as he heard the news, rushed to the hospital. as soon as he heard the news is the embedded clause.
Style and Clarity Write naturally, use only words you understand. Eliminate unnecessary words and phrases. Write actively, watch out for the passive voice. Pay attention to verbs and verb forms. Scan your writing for small words and long sentences.
Commas help your reader figure out which words go together in a sentence and which parts of your sentences are most important. Using commas incorrectly may confuse the reader, signal ignorance of writing rules, or indicate carelessness.
Two commas can be used to set off additional information that appears within the sentence but is separate from the primary subject and verb of the sentence. Sometimes called a parenthetical expression or an aside, this information interrupts the main thought to add an additional comment.
Commas (Eight Basic Uses) Use a comma to separate independent clauses. Use a comma after an introductory clause or phrase. Use a comma between all items in a series. Use commas to set off nonrestrictive clauses. Use a comma to set off appositives. Use a comma to indicate direct address. Use commas to set off direct quotations.
Adding a comma to a sentence can change the meaning of it entirely. For example: Lets eat Grandma - Implies that Grandma is going to be eaten. Lets eat, Grandma - Adding in the comma, clarifies that its time for Grandma to eat.
Commas play a crucial role when we join two independent clauses with conjunctions such as and, but, or so. Placing a comma before these conjunctions helps maintain clarity in the sentence.
Introductory Words, Phrases, and Clauses Commas can follow words and phrases that begin a sentence. This comma is optional but can be used to clearly distinguish where the introductory element ends and the main sentence begins. Example: Hopefully, poverty will one day cease.
