When youre creating a post or page, look for the Add Location button above the editor. Keep in mind that this feature is exclusive to the classic editor on sites that have no plugins or third-party themes installed. The location is added to your post or page in various machine-readable formats: geo microformat, geo.
You can embed a Google Map onto any page of your WordPress.com site by taking the following steps: Step 1: Obtain the Maps Embed Code. Visit Google Maps. Search any street address or geographic location and click the Share button: Step 2: Add the Embed Code to Your Site. Open your websites page in the WordPress editor.
Visit your dashboard. Go to Appearance Menus. Click the create a new menu link, and give your menu a name. Under Menu Settings, select at least one Display location.
Go ahead and navigate to Locations and then click the Add New button. Once you are in the WordPress editor, scroll down to the Map section. Here you can enter your address in the Enter a query field. After entering your location on the map and adding location information, go ahead and click the Publish button.
Youre all set! Go to the Google Maps website. Search for the location you want to feature in your embedded map. Click Share. Click Embed a map to see a preview of the embed. When ready to embed, click Copy HTML. In your HTML file, paste the embed code where you want the map to appear on the page.
Embed a Custom Map Visit My Maps. Choose either a map you have already created or create a new one. Make the map public using the Share option: Click the ellipses (three dots) next to the map name to reveal additional options. Select Embed on my site from that list.
The Maps Embed API lets you display Street View images as interactive panoramas from designated locations throughout its coverage area. User contributed Photospheres, and Street View special collections are also available. Each Street View panorama provides a full 360-degree view from a single location.
