Start by heading to maps.google.com. Click on the menu icon on the top left hand side of the screen and select Your Places. (The menu icon is just to the left of the search bar on the top left hand side of your screen.) Select the maps tab. Navigate to the very bottom of that window and select Create a Map.
Embed your map: Go back to your map and select the map menu pulldown, indicated by three dots next to the Share button. Select Embed on my site. Copy the HTML and paste it into the source code of your website. Note that you can customize the height and width of your map.
Change the number of layers On your computer, sign in to My Maps. Open or create a map. Youll see your layers in the box on the left. Make the changes you want. Add a layer: Click Add layer. Then click the title and add a name. Delete a layer: Next to the layer title, click More. Delete this layer.
Getting started Use an automatic iframe generator to embed a map into your webpage: Go to Quickstart. Start developing with the Maps Embed API by setting up your Google Cloud project: Set up in Cloud Console. For an index of all the possible parameters for the Maps Embed API request, see the Embedding a map guide:
Get the embed code: Go to Google maps. When the map appears, click on the Share icon. Select the Embed tab on the Share window. Click on Copy HTML. Open the web page (in WordPress) where you want to embed the map.
Youre all set! Go to the Google Maps website. Search for the location you want to feature in your embedded map. Click Share. Click Embed a map to see a preview of the embed. When ready to embed, click Copy HTML. In your HTML file, paste the embed code where you want the map to appear on the page.
The Maps Embed API lets you display Street View images as interactive panoramas from designated locations throughout its coverage area. User contributed Photospheres, and Street View special collections are also available. Each Street View panorama provides a full 360-degree view from a single location.
