Step 1: Once youve created your Premiere Pro project, click Create Captions and then Import Caption from File Create Blank Track. Step 3: Drag your . SRT file into your project. Step 4: You may need to align your captions with your recording.
With MP4, you can burn ONLY 1 subtitle track into the video. With MKV, you can pass-through multiple VOBSUB tracks. These are not burned into the video unless you choose to do so however you can only burn 1 subtitle track into the file.

Broadcasters have a few choices regarding embedding closed captioning in their content. Closed caption editors like Closed Caption Creator offer plugins that embed 608 and 708 captioning into MXF, MP4, and MOV files. These editors allow captions to be reviewed and edited if necessary.
To embed subtitles into a video permanently, you need an srt file of the subtitles alongside a video editor that can overlay it. iMovie, ContentFries, VideoPad, docHub Premiere Pro, and VLC Media Player are all capable of doing that. You must choose the one that makes content creation most convenient for you.
How to add Subtitles to MP4? Upload your MP4 file. Select the MP4 which you want to burn your subtitle file. Upload the Subtitles file. Or click on autogenerate subtitles with Happy Scribe. Download the MP4. It will take a few minutes until your MP4 file is ready. Select your MP4 file (.mp4 extension) Select File.
Import captions directly into a project in the timeline Open an existing project in the Final Cut Pro timeline. Choose File Import Captions. In the dialog that appears, navigate to the file you want to import, and select the file. The file must be a valid CEA-608, iTT, or SRT caption file.
