Unlike sidecar subtitles that are delivered separately from the video manifest, embedded subtitles are stitched into the videos HLS manifest. This type of subtitle is more widely supported across endpoint players. Embedding a subtitle file is really simple.
A style refers to the way captions are presented. These include pop-on, roll-up, and paint-on.
Select the object (table, equation, figure, or another object) that you want to add a caption to. On the References tab, in the Captions group, click Insert Caption. In the Label list, select the label that best describes the object, such as a figure or equation.
The quote can be embedded like this: John exhibits his true feelings for Sarah when she finds him waiting at her door with her favorite flowers and a sorrowful expression on his face (Doe 75). This quote would then be followed by more analysis of Johns feelings for Sarah.
Open captions are burned into the video itself. Closed captions are uploaded to a video hosting service and displayed by the video player when the viewer turns on closed captioning.
Step 1: Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. Step 2: Find the image you want to caption. Step 3: Open the image and swipe upward until you see the caption field. Step 4: Tap on Add a Caption and enter a description or keywords that describe the photo.
Embedded captioning, or 608/708 closed captioning, is ancillary data added to a video file or stream. It appears as a separate data track inside most container formats, including MXF.
