Open captions are burned into the video itself. Closed captions are uploaded to a video hosting service and displayed by the video player when the viewer turns on closed captioning.
So what do we mean by embedded subtitles? Well, embedded subtitles are when the subtitles appear in the exported video, usually along the bottom, and cannot be toggled on or off when the video is being watched. The alternative to embedding subtitles is to use an SRT file.
Step 1: Once youve created your Premiere Pro project, click Create Captions and then Import Caption from File Create Blank Track. Step 3: Drag your . SRT file into your project. Step 4: You may need to align your captions with your recording.
