Whether its a good idea or not, its definitely possible to add login functionality to a static site. This can be done through JSON web s and the OAuth Authorization code flow.
Add authentication Update the staticwebapp. config. json to match the following configuration. Select the URL to go to the site. Once you open the site in your browser, the local authentication sign in page is displayed. Enter a username, then select Login. Once you authenticate, your site is displayed.
Configure security settings in the Web. config File In Solution Explorer, open the Web. config file. Change the authentication mode to Forms. Insert the tag, and fill the appropriate attributes. Deny access to the anonymous user in the section as follows:
