hey everyone today im going to show you a formula that will give you the age of something or someone at any given point in time just remember its based on when i created the video so yours might look a little bit different but it will work depending on whenever you create the formula so for example if someone was born on the 2nd of march 1990 the age of that person would be 31 and if we change this date to say the 14th of november 2003 the age of the person would be 17. now im just going to quickly show you how to build this formula and ill also show you how to do it if we had an end date that wasnt today and you just want to see someones age or something at that point in time so very quickly ill just show you how the todays date formula works in excel its inbuilt so its really handy equals today open bracket close bracket you can see the current date is the 30th of august 2021 now if i build the formula all in one so we get the age of someone whose date of birth was 2003 bas

{{Birth date}} with suffix (age N). {{Birth date and age}} plus age as of a specified date. As {{Birth date and age}}, but accepts dates in text form (15 June 1950, June 15, 1950, June 1950, etc.).
The method of calculating age involves the comparison of a persons date of birth with the date on which the age needs to be calculated. The date of birth is subtracted from the given date, which gives the age of the person. Age = Given date - Date of birth.
Use of the Today Function to Automatically Update an Age Calculation in Excel. If you want your age formula to calculate the age of an individual on the current date, and to update automatically each day, this can be done using the Excel Today function, which returns the current date.
=(TODAY()-B2)/365 In this formula, the first part (TODAY()-B2) usually calculates the difference between the current date and the birth date. The second part of the formula helps divide the difference by 365 to get the number of years (i.e., age in years).
Select the cell next to the ages you want to group, and type this formula =VLOOKUP(B2,$E$2:$F$4,2,1), (B2 is the age you use, E2:F4 is the age groups you lookup based on, 2 indicates to return the second column in the lookup range) press Enter key, then drag fill handle down to fill the formulas to cells.
How to Calculate Current Age in Full Years Open Excel. Click in the cell where you want the age to appear. Type =TRUNC(YEARFRAC( Select the cell containing the date of birth. Type ,TODAY())) and press Enter. The persons age in years is calculated.
