Markdown supports HTML, so if you need to, say, embed a YouTube video, you can just copy and paste the embed code from them, drop it into a Markdown document, and you should be good to go.

If your Markdown application supports HTML, you can use the HTML tag. For compatibility, use trailing white space or the HTML tag at the end of the line.
Embedding Code in Markdown. If youre writing your code in markdown, the easiest way to embed snippets is to use fenced code blocks, which also allows syntax highlighting.

In other to use the external link opener you will have to append your URL to the end of external. ink?to= eg: external. ink?to=yourlink.com, this will redirect the user to the link opener page whenever they click it and from there your provided link will open up in a new tab.
Markdown also supports raw HTML so you can also use raw HTML text to embed links. This is useful if you require target links or need to add alignment styling.
In Markdown, a link is created by enclosing the link text in square brackets, [Link text] , and then following it immediately with the URL in parentheses, () . For example: We just updated our [Docs Contribution Guide]()!
