How to scan a document to email on Windows Connect your scanner (or multifunctional printer) to your device. Scan and save your documents. Right-click your chosen documents, then choose Send to. Choose your recipients email address and write a new email for the files to attach to.
Just open up Windows Fax and Scan (or MacOS Image Capture if you are using a Mac). Then place your document face down onto the scanner bed and select Scan. Your scanned image will appear in either program automatically; from there, save it onto your laptop as an image file or PDF.
Open File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon on your taskbar. In the navigation pane on the left, click on This PC or Quick Access. From there, navigate to either the Documents or Pictures folder. These folders are commonly used by scanning software as default save locations.
In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Scan, and then select Scan from the results. Do one of the following: Place the item you want to scan face down on the scanners flatbed and close the cover. Place the item you want to scan in the scanners document feeder.
