hi this is mike again in this brief tutorial i will look at how to set up read receipts and delivery receipts in your outlook email now what you would use those for is if you have an email thats urgent or you want to be able to follow up because i know we get a lot of emails in and out what this will allow you to do is to get a notice when somebodys read your email and that makes it easier to follow up so things dont get backed up and it also allows you to figure out whether you need to send a follow-up email or not okay so um go to your outlook email and then click compose a more new message and when you get the new message screen here what youre going to do is once youve filled in everything that you want to fill in in your message then come down here to these three dots at the very bottom of the screen it should be similar for those that use outlook on the web as opposed to those that use the desktop version of outlook um you should be able to find the read receipts um somewhe

To quickly see if a message holds a Read Receipt Request, you can add the Receipt Requested column to your view. By setting the display format of that field to Icon, youll see a a ticked checkbox for messages with a Read Receipt Request.
Can you request a read receipt in Outlook without the recipient knowing? Some email services allow you to hide a read receipt from the recipient, but thats not the case with Outlook. If you are using the read receipt Outlook feature, the recipient will always know that you have requested a read receipt.
It couldnt be simpler to use Right Inboxs email tracking feature: Enable the feature by clicking on the eye icon at the bottom of your Gmail compose window. Select whether you want to track email opens, clicks, or both. See real-time notifications in the bottom left of your compose window.
For details, visit Tailor Gmail settings for your organization. In the Email read receipts section, select this option: Do not allow email read receipts to be sent - Turns off requesting and returning read receipts.
Get a delivery or read receipt In the message, click Options. Under Voting and tracking options, select the Request a delivery receipt for this message or the Request a read receipt for this message check box.
Open Gmail. Click the gear icon and click Settings. Click the Labels tab. Check Sent mail.
To protect users email addresses, Gmail only delivers read receipts for messages to the users address, not for messages to group mailing lists or aliases.
