hello everybody uh this is miss roberts uh just checking in with you guys um ive had a few questions on how to actually edit a link that you put into a google doc so i was just going to show you real quick by presenting and showing you the steps to do it very easily so let this load in so as you can see this is my teacher website it is incomplete um i would recommend that if you guys are using google sites that you publish your site in order for it to be only editable by you so to do this um editing its very simple and im going to show you how to do it with our teacher website all you have to do is highlight your website url ctrl c to copy and then you can see i have the sheet ive already done mine once but ill show you as an example again so im going to post my link in there put in my information [Music] and then all you have to do to edit is very simple so you hover over youll see this little pencil you click edit you dont want to edit the link because if you edit the length

Change an existing hyperlink Right-click anywhere on the link and, on the shortcut menu, click Edit Hyperlink. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog, select the text in the Text to display box. Type the text you want to use for the link, and then click OK.
If this link is inadvertently shared with people who shouldnt have access, you can always reset the link by clicking Reset link in the sharing dialog in your doc: If your doc is set to public, it will have a globe next to it, and it could potentially be found and viewed by anyone on the web.

You can customize that link in the Share dialog box to allow an of three options: Viewer: Visitors can see the document but not change it in any way. Commenter: Visitors can see the document and make comments, but cant change the content. Editor: Visitors can see, comment and change content.
Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. Under Link to, click Existing File or Web Page. In the Look in box, click the down arrow, and find and select the file that you want to link to.
Hyperlinks Select the text you want to make a hyperlink. Click the Insert link button, or right-click the selected text and click Link. The Edit Link dialog box will appear. Type the address you want to link to in the Link field. Click Apply. Click the link to view the URL.
