Select File Properties. Select the Description tab to view the metadata in the document, including the document information dictionary. Modify the Title field to add or change the documents Title entry.
In the document, workbook, or presentation, right-click the label, and then click Unlock Label on the shortcut menu. Note: If the label appears in the document header, you must first right-click the label, and then click Edit Header on the shortcut menu.
Click File, and then look for Author under Related People on the right. Right-click the author name, and then click Edit Property. Type a new name in the Edit person dialog box.
If you share a document with other people, you can remove personal information, such as author name and company, that Office automatically adds to a document. On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box.
Select Rename from the context menu, type your new name, and then tap Rename at the top right corner of the dialog box. You wont be able to rename the file if other people are working on it at the same time as you. Wait until youre the only one in the document, then rename it.
