um and then also to be a reasonable restriction it has to be limited in time and as you were referencing you know if with an employment agreement that has an on complete provision or an uncompete agreement it has to say that you cant do this work for x amount of time and typically whats been upheld by the courts is a two-year limitation so it cant go beyond two years um but anything two years or or less would be considered reasonable in an employment context now that can differ if its a sale of a business contact so lets say someone is selling their business and they agree to a non-compete for a period of time so that they wont get back into that business after theyve sold the business you know what that happens i mean even with me with with buzz on biz years later right im doing something similar but you do see i i know someone that was in the i.t space sold the company hes restarted under a different name but apparently it met the scope and time and distance and all that yea
