You must submit the required documentation through your Uplink Claimant Self-Service homepage. You should have a “TO DO” to upload the information through the Secure File Exchange.
What is Uplink? Uplink is the name of Indiana Department of Workforce Development's automated self service Unemployment Insurance system. Through the Uplink Claimant Self Service System, you now have access to enhanced services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You should receive your first payment within 3 weeks if there are no issues on your claim for benefits. You are not paid benefits for the first week you claim after filing for benefits (the first voucher you submit) because this is your waiting period week.
The most common causes of fraud overpayments are: Returning to work while collecting unemployment benefits and not reporting your work and earnings. Working a part-time or temporary job and not reporting earnings. Filing for benefits without looking for work. Failing to keep a record of your work search.
People who are eligible for unemployment in Indiana will receive a weekly payment amount between $72 and $463. The maximum length of Indiana unemployment benefits is 26 weeks.
If you have employees - even temporary ones - you will also need to register with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. It oversees employee reporting, new hire reporting, unemployment insurance and wage reporting for the state of Indiana.
