What font is the text set in? Is that font installed on your computer? If youre not sure, select the text or text box and change the font to e.g. Calibri or Arial. If that cleans up the spacing, your text is probably set to some unusual font that isnt installed on your computer.
Select the paragraph you want to change, or press Command (⌘) +A to select all text. Go to Home Line and Paragraph Spacing. Select the line spacing you want.
The default space between words is based on your current font size.
Go to Design Paragraph Spacing. Choose the option you want. If you want to single space your document, choose No Paragraph Space.

Right-click, and then click Adjust List Indents. Change the distance of the bullet indent from the margin by clicking the arrows in the Bullet position box, or change the distance between the bullet and the text by clicking the arrows in the Text indent box.
