hey guys how you doing Sean here from orb is ex we have another feature update this one was actually requested by one of our members and so kudos to him so theres a new workflow process that you can use if you find it necessary or youd like to use it for your shop at this particular shop what they do is they ask customers to sign for invoices and they also ask them to sign for a job approval you know once their work order is done the customer can sign off on it so first thing first you have a new option under admin settings and options and you go down to invoices and payments theres going to be a new section here job approval statement and terms so you can put in whatever terms you have that they have to agree to when they sign off on a job being completed we just threw in some default one here for illustrations purposes so you know by signing the following you confirm that the work was completed to your satisfaction on time and the quality standards you expect yada yada yada you ca

Both parties should sign the document (or alternatively, neither should sign). By having each party sign an invoice or sales receipt, the document is formalized. Just remember, the signatures dont necessarily make the transaction any more legally-binding than the invoice itself.
An invoice is not a legal document on its own. While invoicing is an important accounting practice for businesses, invoices do not serve as a legally binding agreement between the business and its client. Thats because an invoice leaves too much room for manipulation to serve as a legal document.
Without a signature, invoices arent legal documents theyre just a list of products and services sent to a customer to request payment. And in most cases, customers will pay unsigned invoices without any issues.
Yes, all legal documents must have a signature to be official. Its the only way to prove that both parties understood the invoice and agreed to abide by its terms.
