2 Use a change log A change log is a simple but essential tool for tracking contract changes. It is a document or a spreadsheet that records the details of each CCR, such as the date, source, description, impact, status, and approval.
How to create a contract amendment Pinpoint what you want to change or add. Look at your contract and write down the parts you need to change. Date and title the new amendment. The most common and effective way to modify a construction contract is to use a written change order. This document specifies the details of the modification, such as the description, scope, price, time, and impact of the change, and must be signed by both parties in order to become part of the original contract.
