hello kids today were gonna talk about point editing I know what youre thinking dont worry its not that bad Ill be quick lets take a look at this drawing from my last session Ive got some points in this file Ive got a few point groups created now if Im gonna edit some points I want to think about what points dont I want to edit so I want to for instance I may have some control points that I dont want people am messing with so if you do have those points in a point group for instance you can lock the points in that point group all at once so if I right-click on the point group I can go ahead and go bot points and look at that it sets it up with a little do not edit sign there oh yeah nobody can nobody can touch those now you can also lock the the point group too if you want if you lock the point group that means no points can be added or removed from that point group stay the same ok so thats what they lock and the unlock does now the other way to edit points if you want to

By using the Edit Points tool, you can change a rectangle to a rhombus, or even edit a curved or freeform line differently. The Edit Points option basically works on individual vertexes. Vertexes are points within the outline of any shape that can be dragged or edited to change the appearance of the shape.
You can edit the points of most shapes. For example, you edit points when you need to lean a triangle over to the right. Select the shape that you want to edit. , and then click Edit Points.
To open Edit Points mode with keyboard shortcuts, select the shape and then press Alt + JD, E, E.Edit points in a shape Select the shape that you want to edit. On the Shape Format (or Format) tab, click Edit Shape. , and then click Edit Points. Drag one of the vertexes that outline the shape.
Change a shape in PowerPoint Click the shape that you want to change. To select multiple shapes, press and hold Ctrl while you click the shapes. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click Edit Shape . Point to Change Shape, and then click the shape that you want.
You can do this by choosing Shape FormatEdit Points. Right-click on one of the bottom corners and choose Open Path. This creates an extra point. Right-click on the point between the 2 bottom points and choose Delete Point.
How to get started editing PowerPoint shapes. Select the shape first, then make sure youre on the Shape Format Ribbon, click the dropdown arrow next to Edit Shape and select Edit Points. You can also access this command by right-clicking the shape and choosing Edit Points.
If a worksheet or presentation is locked for editing and cant be edited in the Windows desktop applications, it may be that the file is already being edited by someone else, or they have the file checked out.

Click the file name once to open the file in PowerPoint for the web. select Edit Presentation, and then select Edit in PowerPoint for the web.
