However, this can be accomplished with a simple formula for each field on the report. Right-click on the Field and choose Format Field Select the Number tab. Click Customize button. Select Number tab. Use the drop-down next to Decimals to select the maximum number of decimals (recommended = 1.0000000)
You right-click a report field and choose Format Field from the shortcut menu. You have a text object selected and you choose Format Text, Border and Colors, Font, or Paragraph Formatting from the Format menu.
Text-based RPT files can be opened with any text editor, like the Notepad program built-in to Windows. The free Notepad++ tool is another option, and there are plenty of others that work in a similar fashion.

Place a Text Object (the one with ab on it as a symbol) on the report. Type a set of parenthesis into the text object, then drag and drop {YourField} into it. This will display the value with brackets. To Format the number field in the text object, right click on it and choose Format {YourField}.
