to edit or delete a payee first click manage payees select the biller you wish to change from your list then click edit payee you can modify any of the fields presented to include adding tags tags will help you filter your list if you have a lot of billers once your changes are saved you can review them on your manage payee list to delete a payee simply click back into your biller click edit payee click delete payee confirm your action and your payee will be deleted

Does the name matter on bank transfer?

When you try to make a bank transfer to a person you havent paid before, your bank will check that the name youve been given matches the name registered to that account number and sort code. If it doesnt, your bank will warn you, either that the name is a close match or that its totally incorrect.

Will payment go through if account name is wrong?

It is important to get the BSB and account number right, because banking systems only use the account number when processing the payment. The account name is not used to transfer the payment.

Does the payee name have to be correct?

If your bank or building society does not offer Confirmation of Payee, then its especially important to make sure the details are correct with the person or business you are paying.

How do I remove someone from my payee list?

Log into your online banking. From Your Accounts page, select the account you wish to remove the recipient from by clicking View Account. Underneath Account actions click Manage recipients. Select the recipient you wish to delete by selecting the tick box on the right hand side.

Does wrong name affect a bank transfer?

No. As long as the routing and account number is correct than you should be fine.

Does it matter if the payee name is wrong?

The account name doesnt match the payees name. Again, you should double-check the details and request another Confirmation of Payee check, otherwise your money could be sent to the wrong account. When its not possible to match a name, well let you know that the payment could be sent to the wrong account.

How do I edit a payee?

Editing a payee In the Pay Bills tab of the Bill Pay page, locate the payee that you want to edit, then do one of the following: Click or tap the payee account card. On the Edit Payee page, make any needed changes, and click or tap Save. When the success message appears, click or tap Close.

How do I add a custom payee?
