Modify an existing style Select text in your document that has the style applied, such as Heading 1. Format the selected text with the new attributes that you want. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, right-click the style that you want to change, and then click Update [Style Name] to Match Selection.
On the Home tab or on the Page Layout tab, click the Paragraph Dialog Box Launcher in the Paragraph group. On the Indents and Spacing tab, change the Indent settings to the indentation settings that you want for the document. Click Tab on the Indents and Spacing tab.
From the Styles list, select the paragraph style that you want to modify, click the down arrow, and then select Modify. 2 If you want to save the changes that you make to the template, select Add to template. 3 To change the font, click Format and select Font. Select the required font and font size.
Change spacing between paragraphs Click anywhere in the paragraph you want to change. Go to Layout, and under Spacing, click the up or down arrows to adjust the distance before or after the paragraph. You can also type a number directly.
