Go to the File tab. Select Options from the menu. Select General from the Excel Options window. Change the number of sheets in the Include this many sheets field to your preference using the Up or Down arrows.
You can change the default number of worksheets that are created when you first open Excel by modifying a registry key.
Make sure the General screen is active on the Excel Options dialog box. In the When Creating New Workbooks section, enter the number of worksheets you want in new workbooks in the Include this many sheets edit box. You can also click the up and down arrows on the box to change the number.
Remove Excel page numbers Click the worksheets where you want to remove page numbers. Go to the Page Layout tab. Click on the Dialog Box Launcher Button image in the Page Setup group. Click the Header/Footer tab. Go to the Header or Footer drop-down box and select (none).
Here are the steps to use Fill Series to number rows in Excel: Enter 1 in cell A2. Go to the Home tab. In the Editing Group, click on the Fill drop-down. From the drop-down, select Series In the Series dialog box, select Columns in the Series in options. Specify the Stop value. Click OK.
In Excel, page setup properties are only available when you print or preview one or more sheets in a workbook. Because of this, you cannot change or return most page setup properties unless at least one printer driver is installed as the default printer.
Insert a page break Click the worksheet that you want to print. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. You can also click Page Break Preview. Do one of the following: On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. Click Insert Page Break.
Unlike other Microsoft 365 programs, Excel does not provide a button to number data automatically. But, you can easily add sequential numbers to rows of data by dragging the fill handle to fill a column with a series of numbers or by using the ROW function.
