Hi everyone, my name is Kevin. Today I want to show you how you can edit a PDF using Microsoft Word, and as full disclosure before we jump into this, I work at Microsoft as a full-time employee. All right, well lets jump on the desktop. Here I am on my desktop, and I have a PDF file called certificate. Im going to go ahead and click on that and I have this nice certificate that I found online. Its a PDF file and I run a company and I have some employees who I want to celebrate. You know, instead of giving people a pay raise, Im just going to give him this paper certificate and hopefully that makes them satisfied with this company. No, really, Id probably just give him more money, I think that makes people happy and maybe throw the certificate in too, but heres the certificate and unfortunately, its a PDF and I cant edit the name of the recipient. I cant type anything down here. I cant type in a date. Its kind of annoying how its hard to edit PDFs,

How to enable editing in Word Select "File" from the top banner. Click "Info." Choose "Protect document." Select "Enable editing."
1. In Word, press the “Review” tab and select “Track Changes” to highlight it and turn it on. 2. Begin typing anywhere in the document, making changes, deleting items, or adding parts.
Add an entry to the AutoCorrect list Go to the AutoCorrect tab. Select the + sign at the bottom left of the dialog and type a word or phrase that you often misspell in the Replace column. In the With column, type the correct spelling of the word. Press Enter.
To make changes to a document, in the upper-right corner, select Edit Document > Edit. If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can go to File > Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document. Or you can ask the document owner to enable editing.
Enable editing in your document Go to File > Info. Select Protect document. Select Enable Editing.
Open any Word document for which you have edit permissions. Click the Editing button in the ribbon (in the top-right corner, next to the Share button), and then click Reviewing or Viewing to switch to a different way of working with your document. (NOTE: The button name will change based on the selected mode.)
Turn on Track Changes On the Review tab, select Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select one of the following: To track only the changes that you make to the document, select Just Mine. To track changes to the document made by all users, select For Everyone.
Enable and restrict editing in Microsoft Word To enable editing, go to Review > Restrict Editing and uncheck all boxes in the Restrict Editing pane. To restrict formatting changes, under Formatting Restrictions, select Settings.
Simply select “Step Protection” button to unlock protected part of the document. In case the Word document is marked as final and you can't edit it. You just need to click the “Edit Anyway” button that highlight in the head of the page. It is only one-time operation, so you have to perform this step everytime.
To get out of Read Mode, click or tap View > Edit Document. In addition to the reading controls you use regularly, you can zoom in and out on images and other objects, expand or collapse sections, or watch embedded videos. Adjust columns, page color, and layout.
