Step 1: Open TextEdit (Mac) Then under Open and Save, check the box that says Display HTML files as HTML code instead of formatted text. Then open a new document to place the code.
With TextEdit, you can open and edit rich text documents created in other word processing apps, including Microsoft Word and OpenOffice. You can also save your documents in a different format, so theyre compatible with other apps.
Plain text editors are software programs that save text as a plain (ASCII) text data file. Plain text editors may be contrasted with word processing programs that insert markup codes to indicate special features such as font style, font size, boldface, italics, etc.
Simply move your mouse pointer onto the text file and double-click your left mouse button. The Windows Notepad text editor will open it for editing. Once you have edited it, you can click on File and Save in order to update the text file.
