what does this video look like in binary what would this video look like if it was in ones and zeros in this video im going to show you so i searched video to binary first and that didnt yield any conclusive results so i did video to base64 and ill tell you more about that later and so i came across base64.guru and you upload your file and basically just encodes it in base64 and so i did that to the video clip and for those who dont know what base64 is [fast forward talking] that makes no sense but the line below it actually does it says basically encoding schemes are commonly used when there is a need to encode binary data that needs to be stored and transferred over media that are designed to deal with ascii so basically video if it needs to be text this is the way to do it so one application of this might be email i dont know if this is always the case but if you just need to send a video but it can only be through text this is the way to do it y

hexedit is a command-line tool that we can use to view and edit binary files. Hexedit presents the data in ASCII and hexadecimal formats. It also supports the searching of data by values and can show scrollable output.
A hex editor or viewer may be used to view file data as a sequence of hexadecimal (or decimal, binary or ASCII character) values for corresponding bytes of a binary file.
The header might include a few human-readable characters, but a binary file as a whole requires specific software or hardware to read the file and take action. On the other hand, a user can open a text file in a wide range of editors and make sense of the content without needing any special type of interpreter.
Vi shortcuts $ vi Open or edit a file. i Switch to Insert mode. Esc Switch to Command mode. :w Save and continue editing. :wq or ZZ Save and quit/exit vi. :q! Quit vi and do not save changes. yy Yank (copy) a line of text. p Paste a line of yanked text below the current line.
To open the Binary Editor on an existing file, go to menu File Open File, select the file you want to edit, then select the drop arrow next to the Open button, and choose Open With Binary Editor.
A binary file appears as gibberish because the data in it is designed for the machine to read and not for humans. Sadly, some of us get used to interpreting gibberish - albeit with somewhat specialized tools to help see the data better - but most people should not need to know.
If youve ever wanted to examine or edit a binary file in your favorite text editor, theres an easy way to simulate a vi hex mode. To do this, you just filter the files contents through the xxd hex dump utility, a trick that can be accomplished right within the vi/vim interface.
To open the Binary Editor on an existing file, go to menu File Open File, select the file you want to edit, then select the drop arrow next to the Open button, and choose Open With Binary Editor.
