New invoicing In the Business menu, select Invoices. Find and open the invoice. Click the menu icon. , then select Edit. Make your changes to the invoice. How do I change the template on invoices Click the Gear icon. Under Your Company, click Custom Form Styles. To create a new template, click the New style button in the upper right-hand corner. Select Invoice. Go to the Design tab to edit the template name, logo, color, font, and margins.
If you have already issued the invoice but the customer has not paid, send a friendly email or make a polite phone call explaining the mistake, and then issue a new invoice. If the customer has already paid, make a correction adjustment on a future invoice, or issue another invoice or credit correcting the mistake.
The bottom line. While amended invoices are legal in most cases, its still best practice to avoid issuing incorrect invoices to begin with.
If a business makes a mistake on an invoice they have already sent to their customer, they must cancel the invoice with a credit note and then issue a new invoice. The credit note essentially pays the incorrect invoice so there is no outstanding payment.
Find and open the invoice. Click Invoice Options, then select Edit. Make your changes to the invoice. You can edit any field, and drag and drop invoice lines to reorder them.
On the create invoices screen, select customize from the drop-down menu and click on manage templates. Select the template you prefer and click on ok to open it. From the options pane, choose the customization preference.
You can change the invoice format in Tally by Pressing Ctrl+P and configuring the print settings. The print configuration allows users to show/hide fields, details, caption, description, print logo, etc.
