this tutorial is about creating AutoCAD title blocks and using attributes attributes for those youve never used them before are strings of text which are embedded within a block and that are editable you can see here Ive set up a title block its an a.1 its just drawn in model space for the sake of me creating it and Ive drawn a very simple little title panel here that has fields for the scale the dates drawing name drawing number in revision the text you see here is just regular text what Im going to do is place attributes inside these little boxes and those will be editable once the block is placed in paper space to begin here Im going to go to the insert tab on the ribbon and go to define attributes this attribute definition box pops up every attribute has to have a tag you can have an optional prompt if you like and its recommended to have a default value you can choose your text settings or justification and also the text style the first one Im going to create is scale it
