Can I include open badges on my resume or LinkedIn profile? Absolutely. Every credential and profile on the Acclaim (Credly) platform has a unique URL that can be embedded on a resume or web site.
It is generally not recommended to use a companys logo on your CV without explicit permission. Focus on highlighting your skills and experiences instead. A recruiter recently edited my resume and added their company logo and removed my contact information. I have an interview with a company they directed me to.
If they serve a purpose and make your resume easier to navigate and read, then it could be a good idea to use icons on your resume. For example, icons can make your contact info stand out, which is good! says Muse career coach Jennifer Smith, a former recruiter and founder of Flourish Careers.
I say leave out the logo. You want your resume to be clean and concise. Adding images, though you may think theyd look nice at first, can actually appear messy unnecessary. Not to mention, if your resume gets uploaded as a plain text file in any database or system, the image will get completely lost and garbled.
Answer: You cant use a company logo with your application unless you have written permission from the company. Most companies take their intellectual property very seriously, and they will not give you permission to use their logo without first checking to see if you have the legal right to do so.
Resume icons can be a great addition if youre applying for a creative position. Some resumes, especially for jobs that require a traditional approach, wont benefit from icons. When used right, icons can make your resume more appealing and showcase your skills. Use icons in moderation, only to strengthen the content.
Option 1: Stacked entries One good way to show how youve moved up at your job is to list each promotion under the same company on your resume. Start with your most recent role at the top, then list the roles you had before that. Make sure to say that these were promotions.
There are a few things you should remember when adding a logo to your resume: Keep it small: a logo should be a visual addition, not the main part of your resume. Make sure it looks professional: your resume is not the best place to showcase a logo that looks amateurish.
