How Do I Change My Corporate Address? The Province of Ontario requires that the director(s) of a corporation file any changes within 15 days of those changes taking place. A Notice of Change (form 1) must be filled out and submitted to make changes to the head office or mailing address for a corporation.
There are two stages in the company formation where you can edit your company name. The Particulars section and the Review section. Simply type over your existing company name with the new one, not forgetting to add Ltd or Limited then click Check another name.
Filing Articles of Amendment is the only way to notify the state of your desire to change the legal name of your business. They also demonstrate consent from essential members of your company, if director, shareholder, or officer ratification is required.
Business owners and other authorized individuals can submit a name change for their business. The specific action required may vary depending on the type of business.
If you own a corporation, (including an S corporation) you can change your name when you file your tax return (on Form 1120), or you can write to the IRS at the address where you mailed your tax return. A corporate officer must sign the notice.
Generally, businesses need a new EIN when their ownership or structure has changed. Although changing the name of your business does not require you to obtain a new EIN, you may wish to visit the Business Name Change page to find out what actions are required if you change the name of your business.
To change your corporations name, simply click ORGANIZATION in your Ownr account and then Edit. You will then have the option of starting the process to amend your corporations name. After clicking Edit, youll be asked to confirm that you would like to proceed with amending your Articles.
You can file Articles of Amendment online if you received a company key giving you authority over the corporation (see Notice Company Key). You can file directly with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (Ministry) through ServiceOntario at our website .ontario.ca/businessregistry.
