How to update only the page number in a table of contents Open the document we want to edit in WPS Writer. Click on the table of contents. Click References tab and then click the Update TOC button. Now a Update Table of Contents small dialog box will pop up. Check Update page numbers only.

Open the Paragraph dialog box. On the Indents and Spacing tab, in the Spacing area, make the adjustments you want to the paragraph spacing, and then click OK.
Option 1: Click the Review tab and the Restrict Editing button. In the pop-up Restrict Editing interface, click the Stop Protection button. Then, the Unprotect Document dialog will pop up. We enter the password and click the OK button. Now, we can edit the document.
