Im Patrick Smith, regional sales manager at Foundation Software. Today Im going to walk you through how contractors manage change orders within FOUNDATION. Well start by clicking the daily menu under job costing. Notice that change orders can be entered directly into FOUNDATION or imported from third party estimating software, custom excel spreadsheets, or project management software such as Procore. In this example, were going to enter a new change order for job number 12. We can provide an owner change order number, we can date the change order and we can select the appropriate status. FOUNDATION provides various statuses including approved, pending, rejected, estimate or internal. In this case well use approved. Well specify the increase of the contract and we can also specify the increase of our budget as a result. Now our increased budgeted cost can be distributed to various cost codes and cost classes depending on how that budget increase need
