whats up guys welcome back and in this video Id like to work on coupons and discounts stripe does have support for coupons on their admin back-end but it only works for subscriptions therefore were going to have to add all the logic in our application unfortunately the shopping cart package that were using doesnt support coupons or discounts so were going to have to implement this all on our own which isnt too bad because it shouldnt be too difficult now Ive put this coupon component here in the checkout section if you look at old videos I put it in the cart section and I originally had it here I moved it to the cart I did more research and I put it back here in the checkout system apparently theres a huge debate on which pages should go on but Im gonna leave it here so heres how I envisioned our coupon discount section to work a user enters a coupon code here and thats gonna search our database for a certain code if there is one then its gonna add the discount here in th
