In Word, choose View | Toolbars | Customize, then switch to the Commands tab.. Under Categories, choose Insert. Near the bottom of the Commands list, you'll find Address Book.
Click Edit Header Properties to select the color, alignment, and height for the top section of the letterhead. Click Select Logo to include an image in the top or bottom section of the letterhead.
On the Mailings tab, in the Create group, click Envelopes. In the Delivery address box, type the mailing address. If you want to format the text, select the text, right-click the selected text, and then click Font on the shortcut menu. In the Return address box, type the return address or use the preconfigured one.
Double-click in the header area to activate the header. Check the box for "Different First Page" on the Header & Footer Tools | Design tab. Your header will now be the First Page Header. Paste the letterhead graphic into the First Page Header.
Go to Insert > Header or Footer. Select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Quick Parts, and select Field. In the Field names list, choose the field you want (such as FileName, Date, Author, or Title), choose the format you want in the Field properties section.
Word doesn't align the numbers as expected. Click anywhere inside the list. From the Numbering dropdown (in the Paragraph group), choose Define New Number Format (at the bottom). In the resulting dialog, change the Alignment setting from Left to Right, as shown in Figure G.
To update your template, open the file, make the changes you want, and then save the template. Click File > Open. Double-click This PC. ... Browse to the Custom Office Templates folder that's under My Documents. Click your template, and click Open. Make the changes you want, then save and close the template.
Click or tap the document where you want to type a number and press the Tab key. As you type the number, the decimal point aligns on the tab. Do it again on the next line and the numbers will center on the decimal point.
Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer.
Change text alignment To align the text left, press Ctrl+L. To align the text right, press Ctrl+R. To center the text, press Ctrl+E.
