Your specific account number (usually 10 to 12 digits) is the second set of numbers printed on the bottom of your checks. The number furthest to the right is the check number.
You should delete an account only if it was added in error, or if youre sure you will never need the account data in Quicken again. Consider hiding the account (see help topic above) instead of deleting if its a valid account that is closed or infrequently used.
Click the Settings icon on the lower right side of the accounts register. Alternatively, you can navigate from the Quicken menu and click Accounts Settings. Specify the required account name, description, currency, and account type in their respective fields.
The entire 16-digit numeric sequence on the front of the card is the card number. Your account number is part of that number. As described above, this is the seventh digit to the second-to-last digit for both debit and credit cards.
If you wish to delete the account in question complete, you can do so by right-clicking the account name, then select Edit/Delete account click Delete account in the bottom-left follow the prompts to confirm the deletion. If you then wish to re-add the account as new, navigate to Tools Add Account.
Your account number is located along the bottom of your check, to the right of the routing number and to the left of the check number.
Deleting an account (checking, savings, etc.) permanently removes that account, and all the transactions within it, from your Quicken data file. If youd like to maintain a record of the transactions without having the account show on your account list, you can hide or close the account instead.
Go to File Get Info (Command+I). The Transactions Info window will display. In the Category field, enter the category name you want to change the categories to (such as Website). Click OK.
