Printing in draft or economy mode uses less ink and is a great way to preserve your cartridge life and prolong cartridge replacement. If you are printing out a document like an email where print quality isnt an important factor, switch your printer to this setting!
Any coated paper (gloss, silk or matt) will use very slightly less ink than printing on an uncoated paper. Uncoated paper, such as photocopy paper, will absorb a very small amount of ink. The difference between coated and uncoated is microscopic.
