To unlink an issue that you linked using a keyword, you must edit the pull request description to remove the keyword. You can also use closing keywords in a commit message.
How can we remove that? Short of unlinking the entire repo from within Jira, you cant do this from Jiras side. Instead Id recommend going to the source of the pull request/commit/branch and trying to make the change there. This would typically be Bitbucket, Github, or whatever tool you use to track development work.
In the left menu, click Branches. Select the branch you want to restrict using the drop-down menu. Select Dismiss stale pull request approvals when new commits are pushed. This dismisses a pull request approval review when a code-modifying commit is pushed to the branch.
Super EASY way to close a Pull Request - LATEST! Navigate to the Original Repository where the pull request has been submitted to. Select the Pull requests tab. Select your pull request that you wish to remove. Towards the bottom, just enter a valid comment for closure and press Close Pull Request button.
Under your repository name, click Pull requests. Click Closed to see a list of closed pull requests. In the list of pull requests, click the pull request thats associated with the branch that you want to delete. Near the bottom of the pull request, click Delete branch.
To check out a pull request locally, use the gh pr checkout subcommand. Replace pull-request with the number, URL, or head branch of the pull request.
In the pull request, choose Close pull request. This option closes the pull request without attempting to merge the source branch into the destination branch. This option does not provide a way to delete the source branch as part of closing the pull request, but you can do it yourself after the request is closed.
To decline a pull request, select the More options ( ) button and select Decline in the dropdown menu. After the pull request is declined, the comments and tasks are preserved. To see a list of declined pull requests, click Pull Requests in the sidebar of your repository.
Under your repository name, click Pull requests. Click Closed to see a list of closed pull requests. In the list of pull requests, click the pull request thats associated with the branch that you want to delete. Near the bottom of the pull request, click Delete branch.
If the unwanted updates are in an entirely new file that you created, then you can delete the file from your file system, then run git rm followed by git commit to remove the file from the PR.
