Go to Payroll, then Employees. Select your employee. From Deductions contributions, select Start or Edit.
Once you delete the paychecks, this will no longer show on your paycheck list and payroll reports. Also, since QuickBooks doesnt have an option to batch delete paychecks, you need to delete those one at a time.
Click on the Payroll Centre. Find the Adjust Payroll Liabilities link under the Pay Liabilities tab. Click on the link and hit the Previous button until you find the liability adjustment you want to delete. Once you find the transaction you want to delete, click on the Edit button in the menu bar.
Go to Settings ⚙. Select Audit Log. From the Filter ▼ dropdown menu, select the appropriate user, date, and event(s). Select Apply. Locate the deleted transaction. Under the History column, select View. All the information needed for the transaction can be found under the Event column.
When you void a transaction in QuickBooks, you still have a record of the transaction, but it wont affect your account balances or reports. When you delete a transaction in QuickBooks, the transaction is completely erased from your books, and it wont appear on any reports or in any accounts.
Void Paychecks changes the amount in your bank register to zero, but it will not stop a direct deposit from being processed, nor will it return funds to your account.
You can delete paychecks if you havent sent your payroll to us yet. Void a paycheck: This changes your paycheck dollar amount to zero. You may need to make adjustments to balance your books. This doesnt stop a direct deposit from processing and doesnt return funds to you.
When you delete a transaction in QuickBooks, the transaction is completely erased from your books, and it wont appear on any reports or in any accounts. You can recover some details of the transaction using the audit log in QuickBooks, but you cant recover the whole transaction.
