You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. One method of doing this is by employing the Validation option in the field creation screen. By utilizing this feature, REDCap will prompt an error when a fields entry does not meet certain expectations for data type.
REDCap How to Move a Project to Production o Navigate to the Project Setup tab for the project. The last checklist item is Move your project to production status. Click on Move project to production. you have entered test data that needs to be deleted prior to moving to production, please leave this box checked.
The Move project to production button can be found in the Project Setup tab. To make changes to a project in Production status, you must first enter Draft Mode and then submit the changes to a REDCap administrator for review before they are implemented.
Moving a Project to Production Test your project thoroughly. Someone with a full account clicks Move project to production at the bottom of the project setup page. Select whether you want to keep or delete any data you have entered into the project.
You can change the status of your IU REDCap project to Production when you have built and refined your data collection instrument, and are ready to enter real data. To do so, on the Project Setup page, scroll down, and then click Move Project to Production.
In short: Production mode is critical to protect your data. It doesnt stop you from making project changes, but it does protect your work from unintended outcomes and threats to your data validity and integrity. Once in draft mode, you can make almost any changes you need.
If you have the user rights that allow you to delete REDCap, then youll be able to delete individual files and records as needed. As a fist step, go to the record status dashboard to see your data. Then click on the record you would like to delete.
@HIDDEN-FORM Hides the field only on the data entry form (i.e., not on the survey page). Field will stay hidden even if branching logic attempts to make it visible.
